I had really fall in love with Tiong Bahru estate. The nostalgic feel of the place with a mixture of coffee shop and modernize concept café in that area. Frog and I had gone to the coffee shop opposite the Tiong Bahru market selling Bak Ku Teh to have our dinner. It is not too crowded as we are quite early for dinner. We had reached about 6pm and it is not too difficult to find parking place around that time. Here comes our food. Pictures means a thousand words. Click here for my post on The Orange Thimble that is located near the area too. I am looking forward to this weekend to look for cafe in Tiong Bahru for our gathering! Cheers!
OLD TIONG BAHRU BAK KU TEH
Bak Ku Teh Soup plus the usual side dishes that must go along with the rice. Salted vegetables, steam peanuts and you tiao.
Freshness of the pork ribs used for making the Bak Ku Teh Soup. The soup is refillable too. However the soup is not as hot fiery pepper as the other Bak Ku Teh. Perphaps the younger generation do not like the taste to be too hot.
I will definetly go back for their Bak Ku Teh. Slurp Slurp. It is only Monday and counting down to weekend! 🙂
I had just gone to Hong Kong on the first week of Aug and stay tune for more blog post on Hong Kong food!
