KOI BUBBLE TEA CRAZE

The bubble tea craze is back in Singapore. Well especially for the shop KOI. Everyone seems to be queuing for KOI bubble tea. Is their bubble tea really that fantastic? I and frog had walk pass their new Illuma (Bugis) outlet a few time and the queue for ordering the bubble tea is always very long. We had tried to queue up for once but give up in the end. I told myself that I must try it to know what attract so many people to queue for their tea.

Yesh! Finally today we got ourselves KOI bubble milk tea from Illuma. I had searched from the internet that their opening hours is from 10.30am to 10.30pm. To beat the crowd, I and frog went down to Illuma about 11 plus am to queue for the bubble tea. I told myself that I must try it this time no matter what. From the picture I had taken, I guess from their opening hours till 11 plus am; they had already served 70 customers. Our number is ‘HUAT’’HUAT’ (88). We waited for a quite while.

Waiting waiting and waiting….

Our long waited KOI Bubble Milk Tea

I had ordered Hazelnut milk tea with pearls and frog had ordered coconut jelly milk tea. KOI bubble tea is special as they allow us to choose the % of sugar level in the tea. We opt for 70% sweetness. They had 100%, 70%, 50%, 25% and 0%.

Quite different from other milk tea that I had tasted. However, the pearl tastes like the usual chewy pearl.  I will rather drink the milk tea without the pearl in future. Overall, i love the taste of the milktea and i wont mind to queue for it if it is not that long.

So  that i got to try the KOI bublble tea! Slurp slurp.

Thanks frog for queing with me too! Be early to avoid crowd.
