HAPPY NEW YEAR (2012)

Year 2011 had just ended yesterday and let us welcome year
2012! A new beginning of the year and hopefully a great year for me.

In just 3 weeks time to Chinese New Year and stay tune for Chinese New Year cookie recipes.
I will start baking pineapple tarts next week for myself and my family members.
Enjoy this long weekend holiday and hope everyone will have a fruitful and
great 2012 ahead!

SHORT GETAWAY

Yes finally a short getaway trip with frog to phuket tomorrow! We will be going with SY and YF too. Our first holiday trip with them and will be staying in Phuket till next Monday. Wohoo! Time to relax and enjoy the beach, sea, sand, seafood and shopping! Stay tune as I will blog on the local food in Phuket.

I had not been blogging these few days as I am down with flu and busy with work. Still a lot of post to be blog about and publish. I hope that there will be internet access in out hotel so that I can continue blogging in Phuket. Looking forward to the trip and Phuket here we come !!!  :-)

 A lot of things to be done after the trip:

 Christmas order on my red velvet cupcakes and scones from my sis, aunty and friend.

Getting Christmas gifts for my friends and family.

Clearing outstanding matter at work.

Blogging.

Although I am busy, it is a good thing after all to do things that I enjoy doing. I am glad that my family and friend love the red velvet cupcake that I had baked. It really brightens up my day when they compliment my baking.

 I will be back! 2 more days to weekend! Yeah!

Time to go zzzz… Medication had taken drowsy effect.. Good night! zzz

PORRIDGE FOR THE SICK

I am down with a flu and cough. Poor me.. It is time to built up my immune system and stay healthy for the brand new year. Guess i must be more selective of what i eat too. More vegetables, soupy stuffs, vitamin C and of course more fruits. Less oily and sugary food too. I will to cook more often so that i and frog wont have to eat out too frequent outside which we are quite sick of it.

Porridge for the patient (me)

Pork mince meat plus carrot and canned button slice mushroom. It is very easy to prepare. Just put the ingredients into the rice cooker and select porridge function (if your rice cooker can cook porridge t00) and it will be ready in about 45 mins to an hour time. It is just like cooking rice but with the addition of more water and the ingredients. I  had added two dried scallop for the sweet taste of the porridge too. Yummy and healthy.

Time to eat medicine and take a rest.

Hope that i will have a speedy recovery.

Yes! We have fun SUPERMARKETING!

One of my best buddies had seen the post on the homemade pizza recipes and she asked if I can make some for her. She said she felt so hungry after looking at the post. How can I say no to her since we are best friend. Hee… She has insisted on paying the ingredients of the pizza while I bake the pizzas for her.

Thus I had met her today at vivo giant to do our super marketing for our pizza ingredients. We had bought new ingredients beside the one that I had blog about it earlier. My friend had a liking for onions, sweet corn; salmon spread and of course mushroom too. We had fun super marketing together and debating on what ingredients to use and what not to use. I do not know that she loves to super market till today. Hee…She even wanted to add pork floss on the pizza but eventually we drop the idea as we are not sure it goes well with the mozzarella cheese.  We had fun looking for the ingredients together and it is a difference kind of experience doing super marketing with your best friend.

I am looking forward to this weekend to bake the pizza for her and stay tune for the pictures on the pizza that I will be baking for her.

Oh yes, thank you so much for buying me a box of strawberry too. You know they are my favourites.  :)
