BEN & JERRY’S ICE CREAM WORKSHOP: COUCH POTATO FLAVOUR ICE CREAM

Last Sunday was a well spent weekend and our day started in the morning with Ben & Jerry ice cream work shop with flavour guru Peter Lind sharing the latest Couch Potato flavour ice cream and followed by the food inspiration tour with Peter Lind and 4 food bloggers.

Have you thought incorporating potato chips in ice cream? How do the salty chips blend into the texture of sweet ice cream? Ben & Jerry’s have come out with a new ice cream flavour known as ‘Couch Potato’. Crunchy salty potato chips that is rolled into small ball and coated with chocolate in creamy vanilla ice cream. Flavour guru Peter Lind had shared with us that it was not easy to come up with the Couch Potato ice cream flavour as Potato chip will turn soggy when mixed with ice cream and loses it crispness. Peter and his team had brainstormed and experimented different ways of mixing the chips into the ice cream such that the chips will not turn soggy.
